The spring is here again, and over at Dub Bait HQ we’ve been busy prepping for our slot at one of our favourite micro-festivals of the year, the awesome Springstan. It sold out so quickly that we didn’t even get a chance to get it up on here to let you know, but we’re so excited to have been invited back that we just had to shout about the fun that’s gonna go down tomorrow!

After getting all misty-eyed over recent Catch ‘Olivia (NKC rmx)‘, on account of it coming from the latest member of the Dub Bait family (and also because it’s seriously good of course!) – and not forgetting Larsey’s recent Stylo G remix either – we’ve got our ‘proud parent’ faces on again, as this week’s Catch is another in-house affair courtesy of our long-time friend Moggz.
Ok we’ve been meaning to point you in the direction of this one ever since we first heard the preview a couple of weeks ago. With the EP now available via Juno this week (and everywhere else on 20th March) it’s high time we sung it’s praises!

A quick little heads-up for you here. We’ve had an eye on Aussie Footworkers B.O.O.M.A ever since stumbling across and subsequently caning THIS and THIS. Well, earlier today they put out a gem of a free EP from Lex Origins (founder of the B.O.O.M.A collective) which deviates so far from their previous Juke template they’ve launched a new genre – and yes, I know we’re saturated with genres and sub-genres nowadays, but I really like where they’re going with this one!

You might remember back in November we featured Smutlee’s remix of ‘Call Mi A Yardie‘ as a Catch Of The Week. In that post Dub Bait founder Larsey mentioned that he “..must have sifted through a tonne of Stylo G – Call Mi A Yardie edits..“. Well, this obviously spurred him on to have a crack at the tune himself, and the result is an absolute treat!

As such I thought it’d be right to point everyone in the direction of Pull It TV, a new video-interview series that has been showcasing an emerging crop of UK Funky producers who specialise in energetic dancefloor tracks.
