Newfangled label Huntleys & Palmers recently compiled a plentiful selection of free tracks for us all, in aid of promoting their quickly expanding schedule of summer performances and events.
The label, born out of the Glasgow based Highlife events promotion, called on their artists and various affiliates to contribute edits, remixes and original tracks for the free giveaway pack simply entitled ‘H&P Summer Download’. The 11 track offering includes tracks from artists such as Alejandro Paz, DrumTalk, Jumping Back Slash, Carisma, Auntie Flo and Esa and covers a range of styles hovering around the Afro/Tribal House, UK Funky, Highlife arena along with a hint of Funk & Techno.
The label has lined up gigs in Glasgow, London, Barcelona and Berlin, not to mention several festivals across the UK and Europe including Bestival and Love Box. So keep an eye out this summer for any of the artist, if you like what you hear.
We are particular fans of Auntie Flo who have recently performed a live set for the Boiler Room with accompaniment from DJ partner Esa (featured above) and listen to his recent release entitled ‘Future Rhythm Machine‘ (featured below).
