Catch Of The Week – Elves Got That Good Good

This weeks catch is lifted from, what at first looks, a rather bizarre compilation courtesy of the Grasslands Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Algodón Egipcio – Los Párpados Caídos (Pacheko Remix)

Traveling to Caracas, Venezuela for this weeks catch, just to find the guy has moved to Barcelona has meant this latest edition has been some what delayed! And who to blame for this absence of stunning weekly tunes on Dub Bait, well non other than the tropical beat chief, Francisco Mejia, better know to most of us as Pacheko.

Catch Of The Week – Give Me Love

+verb (pronounced Adverb) has been putting out free tunes almost by the week for the last month or so and with each new upload growing on us, we thought it was about time we featured him. We felt his latest offering ‘Give Me Love’ was so good, it just had to be our next EXCLUSIVE COTW.

Catch of the Week – This Goes Under

This week’s Catch comes courtesy of relative newcomers Maribou State (pictured above) in the form of a deep, catchy, sampled vocal number that might be best described as ‘Steppy House’.

Catch Of The Week – Blood Thirsty

We’ve got a nice topical Catch for you this week.  Following yesterday’s Euro 2012 football matches and Ukraine’s history-making win in Kiev, we thought we’d honour Shevchenko’s 2 goals with some cold techy footwork from his fellow countryman and Kiev resident Bronza.

Catch Of The Week – Tempos Insanos feat. BNegão (Frikstailers Remix)

For this week’s catch we’ve chosen a track hot off the press from one of our favourite Argentinian production duos, Friksailers.  Aside from being slightly insane with a love of neon headgear they possibly have one of the most fascinating sounds at the moment, and with this latest free release that definitely holds true.

Catch Of The Week – Harlem Shake

We tend to use Catch to highlight lesser-heard tracks that might – and really don’t deserve to – slip through the net, but this week we’ve gone against the grain (or should that be with the grain?) and chosen a tune already being lauded as a certified banger all over the web. Featured in Rustie’s BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, as well as mixes from Diplo and Flosstradamus – and finally released last Thursday through Mad Decent’s free download off-shoot Jeffrees - heavy tune is heavy/credit where credit’s due etc, and this week has undeniably been owned by ‘Harlem Shake’.

Catch Of The Week – Diurne (Koloah Remix)

Our Catch this week comes from a producer who’s quickly gone from popping up on the radar every so often to being a massive, flashing bleeping dot, slap bang in the middle of the radar!  Based out of Kiev, Koloah brings a diverse and well crafted arsenal of styles, with tracks ranging from House through to Glitch-Hop via a healthy but unique nod to the current wave of global Bass/Garage/R n’B sounds.
