Hot on the heels of Bombé‘s excellent freebie ‘Eclipse‘, B.YRSLF Division have released the latest EP to join their increasingly formidable back catalogue. Out yesterday, ‘Nautical Day’ by Seapoint is an engaging blend of Hip-Hop, Dubstep and House aesthetics all woven together by some inspired drum programming and insanely catchy vocal hooks.
A lot can happen in a couple of hazy summer weeks, and it seems that amid all the festivities we’ve neglected to big up something crucial. Hopefully you’re all already clued up on this one by now – you should be after the heaps of praise and support it has received since it’s release 10 days ago – but, just in case any of you’ve had even half as vacant a fortnight as us, we thought we’d better point you in the direction of a prime compilation.
The unstoppable B.YRSLF are about to drop yet another superb EP in the form of Iron Trees from BD1982. Following Mite and E-Walk’s all conquering Body Tap EP last month (and not forgetting recent gems from Artek and Admin) B.YRSLF Division are on a roll. Iron Trees (out June 5th) will be BD1982′s first release for the label, and over the last fortnight they’ve been teasing it out track-by-track in a drip-feed of deep techy joy.
Ok we’ve been meaning to point you in the direction of this one ever since we first heard the preview a couple of weeks ago. With the EP now available via Juno this week (and everywhere else on 20th March) it’s high time we sung it’s praises!
