Tickles - aka Mr Tickle – has just shared a fresh (and free!) EP. Following on from two smart releases for Roska Kicks and Snares (last autumn’s deep, rolling Call 4 Backup and his May 2011 debut Don’t Get Lemon) Higher Stakes features three new tracks, all neat examples of Tickles’ punchy, low-slung Funky flex.

Now here’s a little something guaranteed to get you in the mood for the weekend ahead. Already established as a force for quality and experimentation within the world of UK Funky, West London’s Greenmoney (Leo Greenslade – main man at London’s YoYo club, and Alex Phountzi – formerly of Bugz In The Attic) shine not only as label bosses, but also as DJ’s and producers in their own right. This mix – their recent contribution to the outstanding Mixpak FM series – is made up almost exclusively of forthcoming releases from Greenmoney Recordings, including all 3 tracks from their own awesome Dubs Vol.2 due out in December. So if you aren’t already familiar with the label (or even if you are!) this makes for essential listening.
